Welcome to the Hackbots campaign Purple is the New Green! This is all about reducing our carbon footprint for the Earth's survival.
Purple is the New Green
Purple is the New Green was first introduced in 2013, a project that has been continuing for the past 11 years to promote environmental safety and care in our community. We focus on using STEM to reduce carbon footprint, plastic pollution, and more so that upcoming generations have as much of an opportunity to thrive as us.
Our PartnerHackbots are proud to partner with Resource Recovery and Recycling Authority of Southwest Oakland County (RRRASOC) to reduce waste in our community. RRRASOC specializes in recycling items that usually get discarded. Because of this, the Hackbots are able to host a battery drive, bringing in old batteries to be safely disposed across the Farmington/Farmington Hills area. Since our partnership began, we have been able to safely dispose of over 650+ pounds of batteries. We are excited to continue our partnership to reduce waste in our community.
