Purple Is The New Green

To teach energy saving and clean practices to promote the sustainment of our world.

To spread awareness for conservational practices county and statewide.

A recycling and conservation campaign started in 2014 to promote clean and energy efficient practices. Each competition, the Hackbots set up dedicated recycling stations for paper, plastic, bottles and cans. In addition stations are set up in the pit if allowed by the admin for the recycling of build parts. This imitative has been taken district wise, with the introduction of a recycling awareness day at elementary schools.

Ceased Participation in 2016

Detroit Maker Faire® Website

Through the Maker Faire, we aim to reach a larger audience, and also learn from other FRC teams and successful technology companies.

Each year our team participates in the Detroit Maker Faire®, displaying our robot and engaging in demonstration matches with other team. We also take the opportunity to reach out to other companies for sponsorship and advice for our team.

Founders Festival

The Founder's Festival is a time honored local tradition in our hometown of Farmington Hills. Spanning a weekend, and taking place in July, this festival allows the Farmington community to come together, and display everything that makes Farmington special.

To reach out to our community and the younger generations by demonstrating our robot and showing all that STEM and FIRST can offer.

Annually, our team sets up a booth at the festival. This past summer, we demonstrated our robot, and also held an at home safety presentation which included a walk through exhibit and a skit. The skit, requiring audience participation, allowed our safety team to demonstrate safe ways of crossing the street for young toddlers and elementary aged children.
